“Is Someone Waiting To Hear From You?” was a direct mail campaign designed to encourage use of the First Interstate Check Card. The offer was mailed to 28,721 customers who had not used their check card in over a month. If a customer made one signature-based transaction during the month of July 2002, the customer would, then, receive a prepaid 20-minute phone card. There was a 4% response to the offer and an immediate $25,267 increase in the monthly interchange income.
